Founded in late 2007 by a team of technology innovators and industry veterans in computer vision, machine learning, video coding, multimedia data mining, mobile apps and mobile games, Vufind, Inc. is a privately held Palo Alto-based company funded by silicon valley angels who are all technologists and industry executives. Vufind is building the first "visual social netwok" that allows you to connect visually with friends and businesses that share the same interests in objects and products in your media, or your vufinder!

Our social media experiences mix computer vision, augmented reality, and gaming concepts. Our applications turn your phone into a visual robot that you use for immersive visual and gaming experiences that merge the digital world with the real world. vufind's unique core technology is the VASE engine which looks inside videos and images and identifies objects, scenes, faces, logos, and concepts.
Contextual and Behavioral Advertising
vufind's contextual advertising solution, VuAd, enables Ad Networks to target advertisements that are most relevant to the media content and the user's interests. Our engine matches the ads to the video/image content based on understanding the objects and concepts within the media content. Unlike other services that invade users' privacy by targeting the ads to past browsing history or friends' browsing history, we match highly relevant contextual overlay ads to the content you're watching at any given moment. vufind ensures there are no surprises why an Ad is being targeted to you at this moment!
Social Media Apps
vufind is currently deploying apps on media-sharing and social networking sites that can automatically catalogue and tag consumers' personal media collections to make them searchable and shareable. These sites may also partner with vufind to mine the media content for statistical analytics and contextual and behavioral advertising.

Vufind never sells user data, personal information, media submissions, etc. however, we do use your media submissions to improve our object recognition accuracy, as well as for generating anonymous analytics on user interests, object frequency, trending topics, and products, etc.
